As a leading business forum connecting Sri Lanka and Australia, ASLBF is committed not only to strengthening bilateral trade and investment but also to creating meaningful social impact. One of our core objectives is to encourage and support community and charitable initiatives that uplift lives, enhance wellbeing, and contribute to sustainable development across both nations.
Our CSR Commitment
ASLBF partners with reputable charities, community groups, and philanthropic foundations in Sri Lanka and Australia to deliver support in the areas of healthcare, education, and community welfare. Through collective contributions from our members and supporters, we aim to make a measurable difference in the lives of those who need it most.
Our objective is to undertake at least one CSR initiative each year in both countries from the activities identified below

Supporting Education
We believe that education is a pathway to long-term empowerment. ASLBF contributes to:
- Scholarships for underprivileged school children

- Providing essential learning materials and resources
Community
Development
ASLBF supports projects that uplift local communities, improve infrastructure, and strengthen tourism-related facilities, including:
- Upgrading sanitary facilities at tourist sites
- Improving community amenities in rural areas
- Supporting environment and heritage conservation projects
Healthcare Assistance
To improve healthcare access and quality, we contribute to:
- Donations to regional and rural hospitals in Sri Lanka
- Providing essential medical supplies and equipment
Supporting child and maternal health programs
CSR Initiatives in Australia
Supporting Local Families
ASLBF is committed to helping vulnerable communities across Australia by partnering with temples, churches, and community organisations to:
- Distribute food parcels to low-income families
- Support emergency assistance programs for newly arrived migrants
Healthcare Contributions
We also support Australia’s health sector through donations and fundraising activities for:
- Major hospitals, including the Royal Children’s Hospital
- Cancer institutes and medical research foundations
