Sam Weerawarna, a Sri Lankan-born entrepreneur, migrated to Australia in 2009 and is a dynamic, multifaceted professional excelling in real estate, media and community leadership. He embarked on his entrepreneurial journey at 21, culminating today in a distinguished career spanning multiple sectors.
Though he’s recognized primarily for his real estate ventures today, Sam is also a qualified IT professional with a B.Sc. in Information Technology, an M.Sc. in Information Systems from Swinburne University of Technology, and a Graduate Certificate in Marketing from RMIT. He holds educational credentials from Sri Lanka, Australia and the Netherlands.
Contributing to social development and public dialogue, Sam is also deeply involved in civic initiatives and community advocacy outside of his professional life. Since his teenage years, Sam has been a public speaker and broadcaster. In Sri Lanka and Australia, his diverse media work spans radio and print, including on-air performance, written contributions as well as strategic business development for a number of media outlets. Leveraging this exposure, he currently oversees the marketing & media responsibilities of the Australia-Sri Lanka Business Forum and is a strong believer in fostering ties between the two nations.
